Transpose Data

Overview

Transpose Data is a tool to rotate the data table in Excel. It will rearrange the data table columns into rows, and the data table rows into columns.

Here is a step-by-step example of using Transpose Data to reformat the data table shown below.

1. Prepare an Excel sheet with data to manipulate.

   

2. Open Finplicity, and then click Data Basics > Transpose Data. The form of Transpose Data will appear, as shown below.

   

3. Select the data table location. In this example, select the range A1:C7.

4. Select “Keep Original Data” or “Delete Original Data.” In this example, select “Keep Original Data.”

5. Select the Excel location for the output. In this example, select E1.

   

6. Now you have finished all required fields in this form, and you can click “Run” to run Transpose Data or click “Save” to save this task. Below is the transposed result.
